Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025
At CrossplayGame.org, your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use our website to play the Crossplay Game.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide the game experience:
- Player name -- The display name you enter when creating or joining a game. This is not stored permanently and exists only for the duration of your game session.
- Game session data -- Temporary data such as your room code, tile rack, and board state. This is held in server memory only while a game is active and is deleted when the game ends or both players disconnect.
- Session storage -- Your browser stores a temporary session token locally so you can reconnect if your connection drops. This is cleared automatically when the game ends or you close the tab.
Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not require account creation or registration.
- We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal contact information.
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
- We do not use third-party analytics services.
- We do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties.
- We do not store game history or replay data after a session ends.
How the Game Works Technically
The Crossplay Game runs on a WebSocket connection between your browser and our server. All game data is kept in temporary server memory. When a game finishes or both players disconnect, the game data is automatically removed. No game data is written to a database or persistent storage.
Third-Party Services
CrossplayGame.org does not embed any third-party scripts, advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics tools. The website is self-contained.
Children's Privacy
The Crossplay Game does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the game does not require registration or collect personal data, there is no age-specific data collection to be concerned about.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
